What days are you open?
The SEJ Heritage Center is open Monday through Thursday 9-3. Some additional hours are available by appointment with a minimum two-week advance notice.
Do I need an appointment?
Due to staff size and limited space for researchers, we strongly encourage you to make an appointment in advance. Walk-ins are accommodated on a space-available basis.
How do I request materials?
Materials may be requested in advance via email or telephone conversation with the Director, or at the time of your arrival.
What items can I have with me while I do research?

Permitted items include:
· Pencils
· Laptops or tablets (out of their cases)
· Digital camera or cell phone (Please place phones on vibrate)
· Outside books needed for research purposes
Prohibited items include:

In most cases researchers can take photographs of materials with no flash. Personal scanners are allowed on a case-by-case basis depending on material type and condition.
If I cannot visit The SEJ Heritage Center can I request research assistance or copies?
Yes – although with a few limitations due to staff size. Contact Nancy Watkins at nhwatkins@sejcah.org to discuss the type of assistance you need.
